Claudia Marchetti, LMSW, PhD

Claudia Marchetti is a Psychotherapist and New York State licensed Social Worker specializing in couples navigating IVF and sexual dysfunction. In particular, Claudia focuses on the possible anxiety, embarrassment, and stress that couples are faced with throughout these processes. Her personal experience with IVF and how it affected her relationship allows her to come to the table with an extraordinary level of compassion, empathy, and energy.

Through trust and communication, Claudia helps couples of all backgrounds work through difficulties to build a stronger, more successful partnership. Claudia focuses on the individual as well as the couple, to meet both “I” and “we” needs as partners grow together. To provide comprehensive treatment, she works simultaneously with the client’s physician while addressing the psychological aspects of sexual issues.

As a couple’s therapist, Claudia adopts various modalities to provide client-centered care. Her role in working with couples going through IVF is to provide support, guidance, and therapeutic interventions to help navigate the emotional and relational challenges that may arise during the process. She focuses on psychoeducation, emotional support, communication and coping strategies, collaborative decision making, building resilience, and managing expectations.

Claudia holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Ph.D. in Psychotherapy.
